Addison Lee, a private taxi company has experienced a huge increase in passengers number in the last few months.
As a result, the cab giant is set to hire 1000 drivers in London as the demand for its services continues to increase. This happens as the capital recovers from the virus situation.
The firm stated that it is providing drivers with a top market package including assurance of 5,000 pounds for the initial month of work, a regular payment during retirement, and holiday payment.
This is satisfying to witness London opening again and the city regaining its normalcy.
Between September & August, Addison Lee stated that its passenger vehicle trips in London went up by over 40 per cent. Also, the firm said it’s expecting to witness steady growth all through the Christmas season.
Liam Griffin, Chief executive said: “Throughout the pandemic, we have put drivers first, and as London recovers, we’re delighted to be able to grow the driver community with market-leading rates of pay and benefits.
“It’s encouraging to see London reopening and the city coming back to life. Drivers will have a huge role to play in helping people getting around the city as safely and reliably as possible.
“Our latest recruitment drive is designed to ensure we continue to support existing drivers and meet future demand.”
This news comes after the announcement by Addison Lee about a month ago to change its regular fleet to completely electric by 2023.
